The Best San Antonio Neighborhoods

The San Antonio real estate market is H-O-T.  Not only did home sales rise 3.8 percent in 2017, but the upward trend is continuing to soar into 2018. We know there are many neighborhoods to choose from, which can complicate a home search, so we’ve highlighted some of the hottest spots right now in San Antonio.

Alamo Heights
This is where old-school charm meets modern and it is unlikely you will find two homes of the same. The area is home to old-school favorites like the McNay Art Museum and new hangouts like Local Coffee and Bird Bakery.  Recognized for their scholarly educational programs, Alamo Heights has a little of something for everyone.

Lavaca
Also known as Southtown, one of the city’s hippest neighborhoods, it is adjacent to the Hemisfair and the edge of downtown San Antonio. Homes are nestled in the historic district as well as downtown high rises.

Dignowity Hill
This east side of town is up and coming and perfect for those looking to revitalize an older home. Next door to the Historic Pearl, this neighborhood won’t disappoint.

Terrell Hills
In 2016, this neighborhood topped the Forbes most expensive suburbs list. This area is known for a mix of historical and newer homes.

Highlands Ranch
This large lot neighborhood, with hill country views of I-10, this gated community continues to have expansive growth.

3 Ways To Create A Bedroom In A Studio Apartment

As a single apartment dweller, you have to decide whether you want to live in a studio or a one-bedroom apartment. While both types of apartments have their own advantages, here are our favorite ideas for carving out space in a studio apartment for a bedroom.
1. Create a little privacy nook for the bed.
Make sure of bookcases or curtains and create a tucked away space for sleeping.

2. Placement matters.
Use a credenza or a fabric panel to give your bed a little privacy.

3. Use elevation.
Make your space feel like it is all on its own by elevating your bed vertically.
