The Renter Generation

The millennial generation is renting more than any other generation, plus they are known for moving around. When it comes to housing, they are also the generation hardest hit by rising rents. Generation Z, the generation following millennials, might even have it worse.

Millennials might earn more than previous generations, but they also will pay more in rent. By the time millennials turn 30, they are looking to pay $92,000 in rent, according to a new RentCafe report.

Even though rent is on the rise in San Antonio, does not mean you have to pay more. Our apartment finders can help you save time and money in your rental search. Call our apartment locators at (210) 802-1112 today!

3 Ways To Create A Bedroom In A Studio Apartment

As a single apartment dweller, you have to decide whether you want to live in a studio or a one-bedroom apartment. While both types of apartments have their own advantages, here are our favorite ideas for carving out space in a studio apartment for a bedroom.
1. Create a little privacy nook for the bed.
Make sure of bookcases or curtains and create a tucked away space for sleeping.

2. Placement matters.
Use a credenza or a fabric panel to give your bed a little privacy.

3. Use elevation.
Make your space feel like it is all on its own by elevating your bed vertically.

It is essential to be prepared with a realistic budget when searching for an apartment in San Antonio. Does your list of must-haves include more square footage? Our apartment locators at Apartments Now can help you find the perfect place to call home. Give us a call today at (210) 558-7377.

There are more than a dozen downtown San Antonio projects currently underway, which makes downtown living more desirable. As the number of condos and apartments grows so does the desire to live closer to work or school.  The trend of moving outside of the loop are slowing fading as the population grows and traffic becomes more of a concern.

3 Ways To Winterize Your Apartment

Winter is inevitable. So whether you rent or own your home, adopting these practices will help you turn down the thermostat and ultimately save in your energy costs.

Start with your bedroom.
Sheets made from organic cotton flannel will keep you warm on a chilly night.

Use a draft stopper.
They are renter friendly and a minimal investment.

Run your ceiling fans in reverse.
Set the direction your ceiling fan's blades turn by flipping a simple switch. Clockwise blades will push warm air coming out of your heater downward, counteracting heat's tendency to rise.

The last thing any renter wants during winter's fiercest months is a cold, drafty apartment. Unfortunately, those apartments do exist. Our apartment locators at Apartments Now can help you find the perfect apartment that won't have you shiver at home or at the bank.
