This month, we’re spotlighting the Jollyville Neighborhood of Austin, Texas. This week, we’ll be exploring the dining and entertainment options in this Northwest Austin neighborhood.
Shandeez Grill serves up authentic Persian Cuisine with a smile. You may not expect to find such exotic fare in Northwest Austin, but you’ll be pleasantly surprised! Visitors rave about the remarkably tender chicken, flavorful Basmati Rice, and desserts like Baklava and Mahkloot.
Zakia’s Greek Cuisine is beloved by those in Jollyville for its authentic Greek food, as well as fun extras like a Hookah Lounge in the evenings. The souvlaki (both lamb and beef versions), beef shwarma, baba ganoush, and saffron rice all get hearty recommendations from patrons.
Hot Breads Bakery and Cafe is actually an Indian Restaurant, something you’d never guess from its name. It also has a wide variety of bakery goods, from Birthday Cakes to Pastries. Both the Indian Food and the baked goods are popular with visitors.
For entertainment, The Water Tank has Kareoke, live music, and lots of arcade games, plus of course beer, wine and mixed drinks. It’s huge, so there’s plenty of room to get together with friends, and feels like a comfortable neighborhood bar.
Friends (or family) can’t decide what they want to do? Well, you don’t have to! Everyone can get what they want at Main Event Entertainment. From bowling, to Rock Climbing to Laser Tag and more, Main Event has something for everyone! There’s even food if you work up an appetite playing.
