San Antonio Rent Is The Cheapest (of the four major metros in Texas)

Everything around us seems to be on the rise today, especially Real Estate. As we close the books on 2016 it is evident that the housing demand has kept rent on the rise, even in the Alamo City.


According to the experts at Zumper, a one bedroom in the Alamo City rose from $800 in December 2015 to $890 last month. The 11% rise in rent was larger than expected, but not much of a surprise when all you see around is developers catering to market demands. Renting a two bedroom apartment in San Antonio went up 13% to $1,150. Only enforcing that the cost of rent rose in San Antonio at a much faster rate than it has in previous years.


San Antonio remains affordable compared to other markets and was ranked 49th out of 100 U.S. largest city markets in the cost of renting a one bedroom apartments. San Antonio also reigned as the cheapest in the top 4 metros in Texas.
